5-Minute Everyday Make-up Look

Hey girls! I thought I would bring you guys a quick five minute make-up tutorial perfect for days your running late. At the end of this post I will tell you all the products I recommend.

Step 1- Foundation
I know that a lot of teenagers wear foundation, and if you have more severe acne, then you may have a certain method of applying foundation. But, for every skin type, if your running late or need a quick foundation, then use BB cream. In Michelle Phan's back to the basics video that she posted in the beginning of the year, she talked about BB cream. All it is in general is a tinted moisturizer. You can use a stippling brush for application, but I suggest using your clean hands. Blend away any harsh edges and your good to go! If you have oily skin then I suggest putting on a thin layer of translucent powder to make it last longer and decrease shine.

Step 2-Eye Make-up
This is one of my favorite parts because this looks like you spent awhile on your eye make-up when you really didn't! I like to add a shimmery white or champagne cream shadow to my inner corner, and curl my lashes and add mascara. This is perfect, light, and will give the impression that you had more sleep than you really did! For tinier eyes, add a neutral liner to your lower waterline to widen your eyes.

Step 3-Blush/Bronzer
Apply a highlighter that compliments your natural complexion if you have time, and skip blush! Skipping the blush will give you a more natural dewy look.

Step 4-Lips
Apply a tinted lip balm in a fruity shade and your good to go!

Top 5 Summer Beauty Must-Haves!

Hey girls! I know I've been gone for awhile, but with summer here I plan on having a blog schedule, so you can all know when to check back. With summer here, there are soo many new beauty products and it can be hard to know what to try out, and what works for you. I am going to give you guys five affordable, amazing, and positively reviewed products that are essential for summer! So, let's begin!

1. BB Cream with high SPF
You have probably heard of BB creams, but if not then allow me to inform. BB Creams are similar to a tinted moisturizer, but tend to claim to have the effects of multiple products. Often called miracle workers or beautifiers. BB means beauty balm, blemish base, and blemish balm. They are usually sheer with a natural finish and most contain SPF. My all time favorite is Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB Cream which is really sheer, but contains SPF 30. It is a wonder worker for redness and gives me just enough coverage. This is also a great makeup step-stool for people just starting to wear makeup. Most brands have a BB cream, from Tarte to L'Oreal. If you have pretty good skin and oiliness is not an issue then go for Maybelline's. But if you tend to get oily and need better coverage, then shoot for L'Oreals.

2. Deep Conditioner

In the summertime, pool and salt water can really dull and parch your hair. To give back the stolen moisture, opt for a deep conditioner or hair masque. My favorite is Aussie's 3-Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner. I love this stuff to death! I use it about once a week and whether I blow dry or let my hair dry naturally, it leaves my hair soft, shiny, and anything but quenched. It hasn't made my hair greasy or oily, so I would definitely recommend giving this product a try. Plus it's only three dollars!

3. Lip Balm with SPF
When it comes to SPF, most people think body or face. But notice how whenever you go to the beach, your lips are super dried out and crusty? Lips need protection too, so next time your in need of a chapstick/lip balm, try to find one with at least SPF 10. My favorite is Maybelline's Babylips in Peppermint. It has the highest SPF level (SPF 20) of all the chapsticks I own.

4. Eyebrow Gel

I know this probably wasn't what you expected to find on a Summer Beauty Must-Haves post, but trust me when I say this little thing is your best friend. Most of us don't like to do too much eye makeup in the summertime, so we skip the eyeliner and eyeshadow. When you don't do much with your eyes, focus on your brows. This gel is super easy to use, acting as a spooly and gel in one and also darkening your brows just a bit because of the gel. You could invest in Anastasia's brow gel, or you could spend a dollar on my all time favorite from E.L.F.

5. Fruity Body Spray
If your at the beach or have been out all day, you probably don't smell the nicest. So a wonderful way to enhance your aroma AND transport you to a tropical island is a fruity body spray! My favorite is this one from Bath and Body Works. Right now they are having a half off sale on some tropical scents so go get you some! Awkward reference to eleventh gorgeous that no one will get.... Anyways you can get these anywhere and they are perfect for sprucing up your day and attitude!

I hope this post was helpful. And like always leave any requests in the comments below! Let me know if you would like to see a part 2, maybe on some different topics like fashion.

DIY Cream Eyeliner

You can always buy the cream eyeliner, but how cool would it be to say that you made your own?!? Pretty awesome!! For the brush, you can use one from your old cream eyeliners or you could purchase some makeup brushes from places like ebay or amazon inexpensively.

What You'll Need~
Pigmented Black Eyeliner (Preferably cheap since you'll be messing it up)
Empty Container (You can just clean old eye shadow containers or buy the container)
Paper Plate
Plastic Spoon
Something to scrape with
Vaseline/Petroleum Jelly

Step 1~
Start scraping out your desired amount of eye shadow, it can be however much you want, but remember that you'll be using more of the jelly than eye shadow.

Step 2~
Take a spoonful of the jelly (the proportion for this should be 1/3 eye shadow and 2/3 vaseline) and start mixing it together. This can be tricky and messy so be careful.

Step 3~
Once your eyeliner is at a creamy texture, go ahead and scoop the eyeliner into your container.

This project is perfect for stocking stuffers or as a present. Comment if you would like to see a DIY Eye Primer post soon!

DIY Christmas Ornaments!

Hey everyone! I know it's been awhile, I've been busy with pre-Christmas shopping! I will be doing lots of DIY presents for Christmas this year!
A classic girly-girl trait is to have your own mini Christmas tree. There are many popular themes, white, pink, etc. I thought I would show all of you a way to have your own inexpensive ornaments for your tree.

Materials~
Earrings
Small Christmas Tree
Optional: Plate with jewelry

You can purchase your own miniature Christmas tree at a lot of places. I've had mine since I was a little girl, and it's not very big, but it's perfect for my room! You can purchase a miniature Christmas tree here

To get started go ahead and fluff your tree. To do this you spread out all of your tree's .. um I forgot what they are called but it's what you put the ornaments on! I like to make mine go up a little but that's just me. You can go all crazy with it or you can just pick a theme. I chose white for mine. Now take all of your dangle earrings that match the theme and go ahead and start hanging them! You can make your own by buying the hooks and attaching charms.

I hope you like your tree! For a cute look, I am going to put my tree in the center of a glass plate and put some of my rings on the plate.

Until next time,

3 Ways to Soften Your Lips

Do you deal with dry, cracked lips? Well here are some tried methods (that have worked for me as well) that are sure to soften and moisturize your lips.

1. Take a dry toothbrush and in circle-like motion
scrub your lips. If your lips are cracked, then add some deep
treatment chap stick before doing this.

2.   Before going to be,  make sure your lips are  lathered up.
Take your favorite lip balm /chap stick and apply more than usual over
your lips. If your the skin around your lips are dry, then apply
a little out there too.

3. This one is a no-brainer. Keep chap stick/lip balm with you at
ALL times. If you don't wear a purse and don't have pockets in a certain
outfit, then just keep it in the car (you might want to put it under
some shade so it doesn't melt. Always try to apply it after eating any citrus
or salty foods. Especially chips.

I hope these three tips help you AND your dry lips!

DIY Jewelry Display Part 3!

Hey there girls! Today is the official beginning of the week, so I thought it would be great to have a project to look forward too during this week. As you all know, I have been doing a DIY Jewelry Display series. This last part is probably my favorite. Let's get started!!

What You'll Need~

A small cup (You don't want a cup that's big around, because that could tear your bracelets)
Your stretchy bracelets
Optional: You might want a cute little container or some small jewelry to put on top. I have a container that's perfect for this.
If you have any cups that are the same circumference at the top and the bottom, and they are small enough, you could buy a stand where it could be sideways like the picture above.

Directions~

Step 1-Go ahead and gather your cups and your bracelets. Start at the open part of the cup, set it down upside down to what it was made to stand on, and keep stacking bracelets. If you have smaller bracelets then do them at the bottom (most cups are bigger at the top, so that's why you would want to do smaller bracelets at the bottom).

Step 2-Now you can add your topper if you have one. Cocktail rings and stud earrings are great for this part.

Step 3-Now that you've completed your bracelet holder, go ahead and place it where you'd like. I put mine in the middle of my dresser.

I hope you have all enjoyed this DIY Jewelry Display series! I know I have, because I got to experiment with them :) Another great DIY Jewelry display for your earrings and rings is by a youtube account named Anneorshine. For the link, go here
